Online blackjack real money in April 2026

94 casinos in our database have 15 or more table games. 85 of them run live dealer blackjack with real cards and real dealers streamed around the clock. Combined, these casinos host over 36,374 table and live dealer games. Blackjack is available at every single one.

The house edge on standard blackjack with basic strategy is 0.5%. That is $4 per hour at $10 bets. No other casino game comes close. Slots run 2-8% edges. Roulette sits at 2.7-5.26%. Baccarat is 1.06% on banker. Blackjack is the only game where your decisions directly change the math. Play badly and the edge climbs to 2-4%. Follow a strategy chart and it drops to half a percent.

We tracked table game RTP across every casino in our database. The average is 97.50%. 69 casinos sit at 97.5% or higher. For bonuses, the picture is worse: the average table game contribution toward wagering requirements is just 10%. 5 casinos exclude blackjack from bonus play entirely. That means most welcome bonuses are built for slots players, not blackjack players.

This page ranks the best online blackjack casinos by table game count, live dealer selection, table RTP, and overall score. Below the rankings, you will find rule variation breakdowns with exact house edge numbers, side bet analysis, basic strategy guides, and a full variant comparison. Every number comes from our database of 97 casinos, not from guesswork.

Online Blackjack Explained

5 variants, all under 1% house edge with basic strategy

The short version

Blackjack is you vs the dealer. Get closer to 21 without going over. Cards 2-10 are face value, face cards are 10, Aces are 1 or 11. The dealer has to follow fixed rules (usually hit until 17), so you can make decisions based on probability.

The house edge comes from the dealer acting last. If you bust, you lose even if the dealer would have busted too. With basic strategy (the mathematically correct play for every hand), you cut the house edge to about 0.5%. That is $0.50 per $100 wagered. Only craps with odds bets comes close.

94 casinos in our database have table games. 85 offer live dealer blackjack. Online gives you more variants (5+ types vs 1-2 at physical casinos), lower minimums ($0.10 vs $10-25), and unlimited time to check your strategy chart.

5 blackjack variants compared

Classic Blackjack

0.5% edge

The default. Available everywhere. Solid house edge with basic strategy.

Decks: 6-8 decksRTP: 99.5%

Start here if you are new.

Single Deck Blackjack

0.15% edge

Lowest theoretical edge of any variant. But watch for 6:5 payouts that add ~1.4% to the edge.

Decks: 1 deckRTP: 99.85%

Only worth it if blackjack pays 3:2.

Blackjack Surrender

0.35% edge

Surrender reduces the edge by 0.07-0.15% when used correctly. Saves money on the worst hands.

Decks: 6-8 decksRTP: 99.65%

Better than classic if you use surrender properly.

Blackjack Switch

0.58% edge

Fun mechanic. Swapping cards is a genuine strategic decision. But the push-on-22 rule hurts.

Decks: 6-8 decksRTP: 99.42%

Good for variety. Slightly worse odds than classic.

Live Dealer Blackjack

0.5% edge

Same odds as RNG classic. The social element and visible cards make it the preferred format for most players.

Decks: 8 decksRTP: 99.5%

Best experience. Same math as RNG.

Rule Variations That Change the House Edge

The same game with different rules can cost you 1.5% more per hand

Not all blackjack tables play by the same rules. The difference between the best rules (single deck, 3:2, surrender, DAS) and the worst (8 deck, 6:5, H17, no DAS) is about 1.8% in house edge. At $10 bets and 80 hands/hour, that is the difference between losing $2.24/hour and $16.64/hour. Here is what each rule change costs or saves you.

RuleEdge Impact$/Hour*
Blackjack pays 3:2 vs 6:5+1.36%Cost $10.88

*Based on $10 bets, 80 hands/hour ($800/hour wagered). Impact is relative to a standard 6-deck, S17, 3:2 game.

Best-case online rules (0.28% edge)

  • Blackjack pays 3:2
  • Dealer stands on soft 17 (S17)
  • Double after split allowed
  • Late surrender allowed
  • Resplit aces allowed

Cost: $2.24/hour at $10 bets. Look for these rules in the game info panel before you play.

Worst-case online rules (2.08% edge)

  • Blackjack pays 6:5
  • Dealer hits soft 17 (H17)
  • No double after split
  • No surrender
  • Double only on 10-11

Cost: $16.64/hour at $10 bets. Avoid these tables. The 6:5 payout alone makes the game worse than roulette.

FoxSlots

9.6/10Strong LiveFast Crypto

FoxSlots hosts 9,000 games from 90 providers. 7,200 slots, 500 table games, 230 live dealer tables, and 1,070 specialty titles including 600 jackpot games and 3,000+ instant-win games. Pragmatic Play, Evolution, NetEnt, BGaming, Big Time Gaming, Hacksaw Gaming, Betsoft, and KA Gaming lead the provider lineup. Tier-1 studios contribute 20% of the library while 28% comes from tier-4 filler — a typical ratio for aggregator-heavy platforms. Mobile availability is 85% (7,650 of 9,000 games). Live dealer coverage at 230 tables is modest relative to the overall library size.

BC.Game

8,500 games from 72 providers — the largest library in our database by a wide margin. 6,800 slots, 520 table games, 380 live dealer, 800 specialty (crash games, Plinko, dice, provably fair originals). 14 tier-1 studios: Pragmatic Play, Evolution, Hacksaw Gaming, Play'n GO, NetEnt, BGaming, Nolimit City. The BC Originals category is unique — in-house crash and dice games with cryptographic verification that you won't find anywhere else. Mobile: 90%. The 72-provider count means you get everything: mainstream studios, boutique developers, and crypto-native game builders. The trade-off is 14% tier-4 filler diluting the catalog, but with 8,500 total titles the signal-to-noise ratio stays manageable.

Cloudbet

9.5/10Fast Crypto

3,100 games from 38 providers. 2,400 slots, 300 table games, 200 live dealer, 200 specialty. Mid-sized library — smaller than BC.Game (8,500) and Stake (6,200), larger than most fiat casinos. Provider split: 30% tier-1, 30% tier-2, 25% tier-3, 15% tier-4. Evolution, Pragmatic Play, Play'n GO, BGaming, and Endorphina lead. No Hacksaw or Nolimit City, which puts Cloudbet behind competitors that carry those high-demand studios. Mobile: 90%. The sportsbook integration takes up UI real estate, which means the casino lobby feels smaller than it is. The game selection serves the dual-product audience well but doesn't compete on volume alone.

The slot focus is in the name, and the library backs it up — 310 slots represents 74% of the total game count, the highest slots-to-total ratio among Bodog brands. RTG progressive jackpots (Aztec's Millions, Megasaur, Spirit of the Inca) offer six-figure potential. Betsoft handles the premium end. Arrow's Edge provides additional variety. Mobile: 88%. How to Play Online Blackjack

From signup to first hand in 5 steps

1

Pick a blackjack casino from our list

Start with one of our top-rated picks. The top 5 by score are FoxSlots, BC.Game, Cloudbet, Stake, Slots.lv. All have table games, live dealer options, and strong trust ratings.

94 casinos in our database have table games. Sort by score or live game count depending on what matters to you.
2

Create your account and deposit

Most crypto casinos need just an email. No ID check at signup for small deposits. Fund your account with crypto (fastest), e-wallet, or card. Start with the minimum deposit to test the casino first.

If you plan to play blackjack with a bonus, check the table game contribution percentage first. Average across our database: 10%.
3

Find the blackjack section

Look for "Table Games" or "Blackjack" in the casino lobby. For live dealer, check the "Live Casino" tab. Start with Classic Blackjack (6-8 deck). Avoid 6:5 payout tables.

Open a basic strategy chart on your phone or another tab. Online play gives you unlimited time to check it. Use it for every hand.
4

Place your bet and play

Set your bet size and click "Deal." You get two cards face up. The dealer gets one card face up and one face down. Hit (take a card), Stand (keep your hand), Double (double bet, take one card), or Split (if you have a pair).

Start with the table minimum. Do not increase bets to chase losses. Flat betting with basic strategy is the optimal approach for most players.
5

Collect winnings and withdraw

Winning hands pay 1:1. Blackjack (natural 21) pays 3:2. Insurance pays 2:1 (but never take it). Winnings are credited to your balance instantly. Withdraw through crypto (fastest), e-wallet, or bank transfer.

If you win, withdraw some of it. Do not let winnings sit in your casino balance.

Blackjack is simpler than it looks.

The real skill is following basic strategy for every hand. Online play makes this easy because you can reference a chart without any time pressure. Start with low stakes, use the chart, and the house edge stays under 0.5%.

The Math Behind Blackjack

What the house edge costs you per hour

Blackjack has the lowest house edge in the casino when you use basic strategy. Here is what each scenario actually costs at $10 per hand, 80 hands per hour.

With Basic Strategy

House edge: 0.5%

Bet per hand$10
Hands per hour80
Total wagered/hour$800
Expected loss/hour-$4.00
Annual cost (10 hrs/week)-$2,080
Effective return/hour$796.00

The best deal in the casino. $4/hour is less than a cup of coffee. Basic strategy is the key.

Without Strategy (Average Player)

House edge: 2.0%

Bet per hand$10
Hands per hour80
Total wagered/hour$800
Expected loss/hour-$16.00
Annual cost (10 hrs/week)-$8,320
Effective return/hour$784.00

Most players fall here. Random guessing on hits and stands quadruples the cost. Use a chart.

Bad Decisions (No Strategy)

House edge: 4.0%

Bet per hand$10
Hands per hour80
Total wagered/hour$800
Expected loss/hour-$32.00
Annual cost (10 hrs/week)-$16,640
Effective return/hour$768.00

Standing on soft 17, never splitting, taking insurance. Costs 8x more than basic strategy.

Based on $10 flat bets, 80 hands/hour. Actual results vary due to variance. Annual assumes 10 hours/week, 52 weeks.

Blackjack Basic Strategy

6 rules that cut the house edge from 2-4% to 0.5%

Basic strategy is a set of rules for the correct play on every hand. It is based on millions of simulated hands and gives you the best possible odds. Online play is ideal for strategy because you can check a chart on every decision with zero time pressure.

01

Always split Aces and 8s

Two Aces give you two chances at 21. Two 8s (16) is the worst hand in blackjack. Splitting turns it into two playable hands.

Splitting 8s vs a dealer 10 saves about $0.16 per $1 bet compared to hitting. Splitting Aces is profitable against every dealer upcard.

02

Never split 10s or 5s

20 is already a strong hand. Splitting 10s trades a likely win for two uncertain hands. Two 5s make 10, and you should double down on 10 instead.

Standing on 20 wins about 85% of the time. Splitting 10s wins about 64% per hand. You lose expected value every time.

03

Double down on 11 (almost always)

With 11, you cannot bust, and you have the best chance of hitting 21. Double your bet to maximize the spot.

Doubling on 11 vs a dealer 6 produces an expected value of +$0.67 per $1 bet. It is the single most profitable play in blackjack.

04

Stand on hard 17 or higher

With 17+, the odds of busting on a hit are too high. The dealer has to hit on 16 or less and will bust about 28% of the time.

Hitting hard 17 busts 69% of the time. Even against a dealer 10, standing on 17 is better than hitting.

05

Hit on soft 17 (Ace + 6)

Soft 17 is flexible because the Ace can count as 1 or 11. You cannot bust by hitting. Improving to 18-21 is likely.

Hitting soft 17 vs a dealer 7 gains about $0.12 per $1 bet compared to standing. The Ace gives you a safety net.

06

Never take insurance

Insurance is a side bet that the dealer has blackjack. It pays 2:1 but the dealer has a 10 under the Ace only 30.8% of the time (4 out of 13 card values).

Insurance has a house edge of about 7.4%. It costs you $0.074 per $1 of insurance bet. Always decline it.

The bottom line on basic strategy

Basic strategy is not optional. It is the difference between a 0.5% house edge and a 2-4% house edge. That is $4/hour vs $16-32/hour at $10 bets. Online blackjack lets you reference a chart on every single hand. There is no reason not to use it. Print one out, bookmark a digital version, or keep it open in another tab.

Side Bets: What They Cost You

The main game: 0.5% edge. Side bets: 2.7% to 7.4%.

Every live and RNG blackjack table pushes side bets. They look fun and they pay big when they hit. But the math is not in your favor. Here is what each side bet actually costs compared to the main game.

Insurance

7.4% edge

Payout: 2:1

Bet that the dealer has blackjack when showing an ace. Wins 30.8% of the time (4 out of 13 card values are 10s).

Never take it. The math is clear. You lose $0.074 per $1 wagered on insurance over time.

Perfect Pairs

2-11% edge

Payout: 5:1 to 30:1

Bet that your first two cards form a pair. Mixed pair (different color) pays 5:1. Colored pair (same color) pays 12:1. Perfect pair (identical) pays 25-30:1.

House edge depends on the paytable and deck count. Best case is around 2-3% with 8 decks. Worst case is 11%+. Compare that to 0.5% on the main game.

21+3

2.7-8.8% edge

Payout: 5:1 to 100:1

Your two cards plus the dealer upcard form a three-card poker hand. Flush pays 5:1, straight 10:1, three of a kind 30:1, suited trips 100:1.

The edge varies by deck count and paytable. Six decks with the Evolution paytable: about 3.2%. Playable for fun, but it bleeds money over time.

Bet Behind

~0.5% edge

Payout: 1:1

Bet on another player's hand at a live table. You win or lose based on their decisions. Available on Evolution live tables.

Same house edge as the main game if the player uses basic strategy. If they don't, you lose more. Pick your seat carefully.

Live Dealer Blackjack

85 casinos with real-time streamed tables

How live blackjack works

A real dealer sits at a real table with real cards. You watch through an HD video feed and make decisions by clicking buttons on your screen. The cards are scanned by optical readers, and results are confirmed in real time. Evolution, Pragmatic Play Live, and Ezugi provide most live blackjack tables.

Standard live tables seat 7 players. Infinite Blackjack (Evolution) seats unlimited players on the same initial hand, then lets each player make individual decisions. This means no waiting for a seat and $1 minimums.

Live blackjack runs slower than RNG (50-60 hands/hour vs 80+). But the visible cards, dealer interaction, and social chat make it the preferred format for experienced players. The house edge is identical to RNG.

Bonus Terms for Blackjack Players

Most bonuses are designed for slots, not table games

Why bonuses are tricky for blackjack

Most welcome bonuses count slots at 100% toward wagering requirements but table games at only 10% (our database average). Live dealer games average 8%. That means a $500 bonus at 35x wagering requires $17,500 in slot bets but $175,000 in blackjack bets to clear.

Some casinos exclude blackjack from bonus wagering entirely. Others cap your maximum bet at $5 while a bonus is active. Playing table games with an active bonus at a casino that restricts them can void your bonus and winnings.

The best approach: check the game contribution table before claiming any bonus. If blackjack contribution is under 10%, the bonus is not meant for you. Consider skipping the bonus entirely and playing with your own funds at full table limits.

Pros & Cons of Online Blackjack

Based on data from 94 casinos in our database

Pros

Benefits

Lowest house edge of any casino game. With basic strategy, you lose $0.50 per $100 wagered. That is $4/hour at $10 bets and 80 hands/hour. Slots cost 4-16x more per hour.

85 of 94 casinos in our database offer live dealer blackjack. Real cards, real dealers, 24/7. Infinite Blackjack starts at $1 with unlimited seats.

You can use a strategy chart openly. Online play gives you unlimited time per decision. No dealer or other players rushing you. This is the single biggest advantage over physical casinos.

More variants online than anywhere else. Classic, Surrender, Switch, Multi-Hand, Spanish 21, Lightning, Speed, and Infinite. Physical casinos offer 1-2 at most.

Lower minimums. $0.10 at RNG tables vs $10-25 at physical casinos. You can practice with real money at stakes that do not matter.

Cons

Things to consider

The house always has an edge. Even at 0.5% with basic strategy, you lose money over time. At $10 bets, that is $2,080/year if you play 10 hours a week.

Most bonuses penalize blackjack. Average table game contribution in our database: 10%. A $500 bonus at 35x with 10% contribution means 175,000 in blackjack bets to clear.

Card counting does not work online. RNG reshuffles every hand. Live dealer uses 8 decks with frequent shuffles. The conditions that make counting profitable do not exist.

6:5 blackjack tables are common online and add 1.4% to the house edge. They look the same as 3:2 tables but pay $6 per $5 bet on a natural 21 instead of $7.50. Always check before playing.

Live dealer is slower. 50-60 hands/hour vs 80+ for RNG. Less play time per dollar if you value speed.

Our Take

For blackjack players, prioritize table game RTP and live dealer count over slot metrics. The top casinos in our database are FoxSlots, BC.Game, Cloudbet. They score above 9.5/10, have 230+ live games (FoxSlots), and process crypto withdrawals in under 30 minutes.

5 Common Blackjack Mistakes

And how to avoid them

Playing without basic strategy

The house edge jumps from ~0.5% to 2-4% without basic strategy. That means you lose 4-8x more per hour. On $10 hands at 80 hands/hour, bad strategy costs you $16-$32/hour instead of $4/hour.

Keep a basic strategy chart open on your phone. Online play gives you unlimited time per decision. Use it.

Taking insurance

Insurance pays 2:1 but wins only 30.8% of the time. The house edge on this side bet is 7.4%. It costs you money in the long run regardless of what the dealer shows.

Always decline insurance. No exceptions. Card counters are the only players who should ever consider it, and card counting does not work with online RNG.

Splitting 10s because "I feel lucky"

20 wins about 85% of the time. Splitting it into two hands with 10 each wins about 64% per hand. You are trading a near-guaranteed win for two coin flips.

Stand on 20. Always. The only time splitting 10s makes mathematical sense is with a massive true count in card counting, which does not apply online.

Claiming a bonus without checking table game contribution

Most welcome bonuses count blackjack bets at 5-20% of wagering requirements. A $500 bonus at 35x with 10% table contribution means $175,000 in blackjack bets to clear it. At $10/hand, that is 17,500 hands.

Check the game contribution table before claiming. If blackjack counts under 20%, the bonus is not designed for table game players.

Playing 6:5 single deck instead of 3:2 multi-deck

6:5 blackjack pays $6 per $5 bet on a natural 21, instead of the traditional $7.50. That single rule change adds about 1.4% to the house edge, making it worse than standard 8-deck with 3:2 payouts.

Always check the payout table before sitting down. Look for "Blackjack pays 3 to 2" on the table felt or in the game rules.

Safety & Responsible Gambling

Even with the lowest house edge, blackjack is still gambling. Basic strategy reduces but does not eliminate the house edge. At 0.5%, you lose $0.50 per $100 wagered over time. Never increase bets to chase losses. Set a loss limit before every session.
