Online Baccarat in April 2026
Online baccarat for real money is the lowest-edge table game you can play without learning a strategy chart. The Banker bet costs 1.06% per hand. That works out to $6.36 per hour at $10 bets. Compare that to European roulette at $16.20/hour or American roulette at $31.56/hour. Same bet size, same speed, wildly different cost.
We tracked 71 casinos with either live dealer sections or 50+ table games in our database of 97 total. 71 of them offer live baccarat from studios run by Evolution, Pragmatic Play, or Ezugi. The average table game RTP across these casinos is 97.60%. 58 casinos run table RTPs at 97.5% or above. The largest live casino in our database has 520 live games, including multiple baccarat tables at every stake.
Live baccarat is the format most players pick. Real cards, real dealers, streamed in HD. Speed Baccarat runs 27-second rounds. Lightning Baccarat adds multipliers up to 512x but bumps the house edge to 2.47%. Standard Punto Banco at 1.06% is still the best deal.
Bonuses are a problem for baccarat players. 68 of 71 casinos in our database give table games 10% or less toward wagering requirements. A $500 bonus at 35x with 5% table contribution means $350,000 in bets to clear it. We flagged the casinos with the best table game contribution rates further down the page.
This page ranks the best baccarat casinos by live dealer count, table game RTP, withdrawal speed, and overall score. Every number comes from our database of 97 casinos, updated April 8, 2026. No affiliate guesswork. Just data.
Online Baccarat Explained
5 variants, 3 different house edges
The short version
Baccarat is the simplest table game in the casino. You bet on Banker, Player, or Tie. The dealer deals two hands according to fixed rules. Closest to 9 wins. You make zero decisions after placing your bet.
The Banker bet has a 1.06% house edge after the 5% commission. That makes it cheaper than European roulette (2.70%), craps pass line (1.41%), and every slot machine. The Player bet costs 1.24%. The Tie bet costs 14.36% and should never be touched.
71 casinos in our database qualify for baccarat play. 71 offer live dealer baccarat streamed in real time from professional studios. Average table game RTP across our database: 97.60%. Average live RTP: 97.15%.
Baccarat in our database
5 baccarat variants compared
Punto Banco
The standard version at every online casino. Fixed drawing rules, no decisions beyond choosing your bet. Banker bet wins 50.68% of non-tie hands.
The default. Play this if nothing else catches your eye.
Speed Baccarat
Same rules as Punto Banco, compressed into 27-second rounds. Cards are dealt face-up immediately. No squeeze, no drama. Pure pace.
Best for players who want more hands per hour.
Lightning Baccarat
Evolution live game. Random 1-5 cards get multipliers (2x to 8x) each round. If your winning hand contains a lightning card, your payout multiplies. Max possible: 512x on a single hand.
Higher variance, worse base odds. Fun for multiplier chasers.
No Commission Baccarat
No 5% commission on Banker wins. Sounds better, but Banker-6 pays 0.5:1 instead of 1:1. That rule pushes the Banker house edge from 1.06% to 1.46%. Worse math, simpler payouts.
Avoid. Standard baccarat with 5% commission is still cheaper.
Squeeze Baccarat
Same Punto Banco rules with a dramatic slow card reveal. The dealer peels cards gradually on camera. Identical odds, longer round time. Pure theater.
Same odds as standard. Pick this for the experience.

Editor's picks for live dealer quality and table game depth
FoxSlots
FoxSlots hosts 9,000 games from 90 providers. 7,200 slots, 500 table games, 230 live dealer tables, and 1,070 specialty titles including 600 jackpot games and 3,000+ instant-win games. Pragmatic Play, Evolution, NetEnt, BGaming, Big Time Gaming, Hacksaw Gaming, Betsoft, and KA Gaming lead the provider lineup. Tier-1 studios contribute 20% of the library while 28% comes from tier-4 filler — a typical ratio for aggregator-heavy platforms. Mobile availability is 85% (7,650 of 9,000 games). Live dealer coverage at 230 tables is modest relative to the overall library size.

BC.Game
8,500 games from 72 providers — the largest library in our database by a wide margin. 6,800 slots, 520 table games, 380 live dealer, 800 specialty (crash games, Plinko, dice, provably fair originals). 14 tier-1 studios: Pragmatic Play, Evolution, Hacksaw Gaming, Play'n GO, NetEnt, BGaming, Nolimit City. The BC Originals category is unique — in-house crash and dice games with cryptographic verification that you won't find anywhere else. Mobile: 90%. The 72-provider count means you get everything: mainstream studios, boutique developers, and crypto-native game builders. The trade-off is 14% tier-4 filler diluting the catalog, but with 8,500 total titles the signal-to-noise ratio stays manageable.

Cloudbet
3,100 games from 38 providers. 2,400 slots, 300 table games, 200 live dealer, 200 specialty. Mid-sized library — smaller than BC.Game (8,500) and Stake (6,200), larger than most fiat casinos. Provider split: 30% tier-1, 30% tier-2, 25% tier-3, 15% tier-4. Evolution, Pragmatic Play, Play'n GO, BGaming, and Endorphina lead. No Hacksaw or Nolimit City, which puts Cloudbet behind competitors that carry those high-demand studios. Mobile: 90%. The sportsbook integration takes up UI real estate, which means the casino lobby feels smaller than it is. The game selection serves the dual-product audience well but doesn't compete on volume alone.

Bet Banker because...
- Lowest house edge of any main bet: 1.06%
- Wins 50.68% of non-tie hands
- The 5% commission is already priced into the 1.06% edge
- $6.36/hour at $10 bets is cheaper than most entertainment
Never bet Tie because...
- 14.36% house edge is 13.5x worse than Banker
- You lose $86.16/hour vs $6.36/hour on Banker
- The 8:1 payout does not compensate for the 9.52% hit rate
- A fair Tie payout would be 9.47:1, not 8:1
Third-Card Drawing Rules
The only complex rule in baccarat, handled automatically by the dealer
You never need to memorize these rules. The dealer (or software) draws automatically. But knowing what triggers a third card helps you follow the action at a live table.
Player's Hand
The Player acts first. The rule is simple:
If the Player stands on 6-7, the Banker follows the same rule: draw on 0-5, stand on 6-7.
Naturals End the Hand
If either the Player or Banker is dealt 8 or 9 in the first two cards, no third card is drawn for either hand. The higher natural wins. Two naturals of the same value result in a tie.
Naturals occur in about 16.25% of all hands. A natural 9 beats everything except another natural 9. A natural 8 loses only to a natural 9.
This is the one rule every player should know: when you see 8 or 9, the hand is over.
Banker's Third-Card Chart
This chart applies only when the Player draws a third card (Player total was 0-5). The Banker's action depends on two things: the Banker's own two-card total, and the value of the Player's third card.
| Banker Total | Action |
|---|---|
| 0-2 | Always draws |
| 3 | Draws unless Player got 8 |
| 4 | Draws on Player 2-7 |
| 5 | Draws on Player 4-7 |
| 6 | Draws on Player 6-7 |
| 7 | Always stands |
You do not need to memorize this. The dealer follows these rules automatically. This chart exists so you can follow along during live play.
How to Play Online Baccarat
From signup to first hand in 5 steps
Pick a baccarat casino from our list
Start with one of our top-rated picks. The top 5 by score are FoxSlots, BC.Game, Cloudbet, Stake, BitStarz. All have live dealer baccarat, strong table game sections, and solid trust ratings.
Create your account and deposit
Most crypto casinos only need an email to get started. No ID check at signup for small deposits. Fund with crypto (fastest), e-wallet, or card. Start with the minimum deposit to test the casino before committing more.
Find the baccarat tables
Check "Live Casino" for live dealer baccarat or "Table Games" for RNG versions. Pick standard Punto Banco for the best odds (1.06% Banker edge). Avoid No Commission tables (1.46% edge). Speed Baccarat is good if you want faster rounds.
Place your bet on Banker
Click the Banker area on the virtual table and set your chip size. The dealer deals two hands: Player and Banker. Cards are drawn according to fixed third-card rules. Closest to 9 wins. If Banker wins, you get paid 0.95:1 (5% commission). If Player wins and you bet Player, you get 1:1.
Collect winnings and withdraw
Winnings are credited instantly after each hand. When you are ready to cash out, go to the cashier. Crypto withdrawals process in 5-15 minutes at the fastest casinos. E-wallets: 1-6 hours. Bank transfers: 1-5 business days.
That is all there is to it. Baccarat is the simplest table game.
You bet Banker, the dealer does everything else. No strategy to learn, no decisions to make. The 1.06% house edge is one of the best deals in any casino.
The Math Behind Baccarat
What each bet actually costs per hour
The house edge is a fixed mathematical reality. No betting system, no pattern tracking, no card counting changes it in any meaningful way. Here is what each baccarat bet actually costs at $10 per hand, 60 hands per hour.
Banker Bet
House edge: 1.06%
Best bet in baccarat. $6.36/hour is less than a movie ticket. If you play baccarat, bet Banker.
Player Bet
House edge: 1.24%
Close to Banker but 17% more expensive per dollar wagered. Acceptable if you want to avoid commission tracking.
Tie Bet
House edge: 14.36%
The worst bet on the baccarat table. $86/hour is catastrophic. You lose $44,803/year at 10 hours/week. Never.
Based on $10 flat bets, 60 hands/hour. Actual results vary due to variance. Annual assumes 10 hours/week, 52 weeks.
Session Bankroll Planner
How much to bring for a baccarat session
The expected loss on Banker bets is small: $6.36/hour at $10/hand. But variance means your balance swings up and down during a session. The standard deviation per baccarat hand is about 0.93 units. Over 240 hands (4 hours), that adds up to about 14.4x your bet size in either direction.
Bring 30-40x your bet size for a 4-hour session. That gives you roughly a 95% chance of lasting the full session without going broke, even on a bad run.
| Bet Size | Expected Loss/Hour | Bring This (4 hrs) |
|---|---|---|
| $1 | $0.64 | $30-40 |
| $5 | $3.18 | $150-200 |
| $10 | $6.36 | $300-400 |
| $25 | $15.90 | $750-1,000 |
| $50 | $31.80 | $1,500-2,000 |
| $100 | $63.60 | $3,000-4,000 |
The 30x rule
Multiply your bet size by 30. That is the minimum bankroll for a 4-hour session on Banker bets. At $10/hand, bring $300. You will lose $25.44 on average, but variance means you could be down $170 at some point during the session before recovering. The extra cushion keeps you in the game.
Stop-loss and win goals
Set a stop-loss at 50% of your session bankroll. If you brought $300, stop if you hit $150. For a win goal, 25-50% is reasonable. Up $75-$150 on a $300 bankroll? Good session. Cash out. The math grinds against you the longer you play. Short, disciplined sessions are cheaper.
All figures assume flat Banker bets at 60 hands/hour, 1.06% house edge. Standard deviation: 0.93 units/hand. Annual assumes 10 hours/week, 52 weeks.
Baccarat vs Other Table Games
House edge, skill level, and hourly cost compared
Baccarat is not the cheapest table game (blackjack with perfect strategy is). But it is the cheapest game that requires zero skill. Here is how each game stacks up at $10 per bet.
| Game | House Edge | Skill Needed | Cost/Hour ($10) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Baccarat (Banker) | 1.06% | None | $6.36 |
| Blackjack (basic strategy) | 0.50% | Medium | $4.00 |
| Craps (pass line) | 1.41% | Low | $6.77 |
| European Roulette | 2.70% | None | $9.45 |
| American Roulette | 5.26% | None | $18.41 |
| Casino Hold'em | 2.16% | Medium | $6.48 |
Cost/hour = house edge x bet size x hands (or spins) per hour. Baccarat Banker at $6.36/hr beats everything except perfect blackjack, and blackjack requires memorizing strategy charts.
Live Dealer Baccarat

How live baccarat works
A real dealer sits at a real table in a professional studio. Cards are dealt from a physical shoe, usually 8 decks. You watch through an HD video feed and place bets on your screen before each hand. Results come from real cards, not software.
Evolution, Pragmatic Play Live, and Ezugi are the three main providers. Evolution runs most of the Squeeze and Lightning variants. Tables run 24/7. Standard minimums start at $1-$5. VIP rooms go up to $100,000+ per hand.
Live baccarat plays slower than RNG (60 seconds per hand vs 15-20 for software). But the atmosphere, the ritual, and the visible card dealing make it the format most baccarat players prefer. It is the closest thing to a Macau casino floor from your couch.
Popular live baccarat variants
Speed Baccarat
27-second rounds. Cards dealt face-up instantly. Same odds as standard Punto Banco.
Min bet: $1
Lightning Baccarat
Random multipliers up to 512x per hand. Higher variance, slightly worse base odds.
Min bet: $1
Squeeze Baccarat
Dramatic slow card reveal. The dealer peels corners gradually. Same odds, longer rounds.
Min bet: $5
No Commission
No 5% Banker commission. Banker-6 pays 0.5:1 instead. Worse math overall (1.46% edge).
Min bet: $1
Baccarat Side Bets Analyzed
House edges from 2.65% to 29.98%
Side bets are where casinos make real money on baccarat. The main Banker bet costs the casino 1.06%. Most side bets cost you 10-30%. Here is every common side bet with its real house edge.
| Side Bet | Payout | House Edge |
|---|---|---|
| Tie | 8:1 | 14.36% |
| Player Pair | 11:1 | 10.36% |
| Banker Pair | 11:1 | 10.36% |
| Either Pair | 5:1 | 14.54% |
| Perfect Pair | 25:1 | 13.03% |
| Dragon Bonus (Player) | 30:1 max | 2.65% |
| Dragon Bonus (Banker) | 30:1 max | 9.37% |
| Super 6 / Lucky 6 | 12:1 | 29.98% |
Bottom line on side bets
The only side bet with a remotely reasonable edge is Dragon Bonus (Player) at 2.65%. Everything else is 10%+ house edge territory. For context, the worst slot machine in a regulated casino has about an 8% edge. Most baccarat side bets are worse than the worst slot. Stick to Banker.

Bonus Terms for Baccarat Players
Why most welcome bonuses are useless for table games
The problem
68 of 71 casinos in our database give table games 10% or less contribution toward bonus wagering. 2 exclude table games entirely. This makes most welcome bonuses terrible for baccarat players.
Example: $500 bonus, 35x wagering, 5% table game contribution. You need to bet $500 x 35 / 0.05 = $350,000 at baccarat. At a 1.06% Banker edge, you will lose about $3,710 trying to clear a $500 bonus. The bonus costs you money.
Slots get 100% contribution at almost every casino. Table games get 5-10%. Live dealer games sometimes get a separate (slightly higher) rate of 10-15%. Always check the game contribution table before claiming anything.
Best bonuses for table game players
Casinos with 10%+ contribution for both table and live games

Pros & Cons of Online Baccarat
Based on data from 71 casinos in our database
Pros
Benefits
One of the lowest house edges in the casino at 1.06% (Banker). Only perfect-strategy blackjack (0.5%) is cheaper. You lose $6.36/hour at $10/hand vs $16.20/hour on European roulette.
Zero decisions. You bet, the dealer does everything. No strategy charts, no hit/stand decisions, no skill gap. A first-time player gets the exact same odds as a veteran.
71 of 71 casinos in our database offer live dealer baccarat. Real cards, real dealers, 24/7. Speed Baccarat, Lightning, and Squeeze variants give you options beyond standard Punto Banco.
Lower minimums than physical casinos. RNG baccarat starts at $1. Live tables at $1-$5. At a Vegas casino, the cheapest baccarat table is $15-$25 minimum. You get the same game at 1/15th the price.
Fast withdrawals if you win. The fastest crypto casinos in our database process payouts in 5-15 minutes. No waiting for a cage cashier.
Cons
Things to consider
The house always has an edge. Even the Banker bet at 1.06% means you lose $1.06 per $100 wagered over time. At $10/hand and 60 hands/hour, that is $6.36/hour guaranteed long-term loss.
Bonuses penalize baccarat players. 68 of 71 casinos give table games 10% or less contribution. A $500 bonus at 35x with 5% table contribution costs $3,710 to clear. Most bonuses are designed for slots players.
Side bets are traps. The Tie bet (14.36% edge), Pair bets (10.36%), and Super 6 (29.98%) look attractive but are 10-28x more expensive than the Banker bet. Casinos promote them because they are profit centers.
No Commission baccarat looks better but is worse. The 1.46% Banker edge is 38% higher than standard (1.06%). The "no commission" label is marketing, not a benefit.
Live baccarat is slower than RNG. 60 seconds per hand vs 15-20 for software. Fewer hands per hour means less action for the same time investment.
For baccarat players, prioritize live dealer count and table game RTP over slot-focused metrics. Our top picks are FoxSlots, BC.Game, Cloudbet. They score above 9.5/10, offer 230+ live games (FoxSlots), and process crypto withdrawals fast. Bet Banker, skip side bets, and ignore anyone selling a baccarat system.
5 Common Baccarat Mistakes
And how to avoid them
Betting on Tie because the payout looks attractive
The Tie bet pays 8:1 or 9:1, but the house edge is 14.36%. That means you lose $14.36 per $100 wagered over time. For comparison, the Banker bet costs $1.06 per $100. The Tie bet is 13.5x more expensive.
Never bet Tie. The high payout does not compensate for the terrible odds.
Choosing No Commission baccarat to avoid the 5% fee
No Commission sounds like free money, but the Banker-6 rule (pays 0.5:1 instead of 1:1) increases the house edge from 1.06% to 1.46%. Over 100 hands at $25, standard costs $26.50 while No Commission costs $36.50.
Play standard (commission) baccarat. The 5% on Banker wins is already priced into the 1.06% edge.
Using betting systems like Martingale on baccarat
A $10 Martingale at baccarat needs $1,270 to survive 7 losses in a row. That streak happens about once every 64 sequences on Banker bets (1.97% per hand loss rate). The house edge stays 1.06% no matter what system you use.
Flat bet on Banker. Accept the 1.06% edge as the cost of entertainment.
Not checking bonus terms for table game contribution
Most welcome bonuses count only 5-10% of baccarat bets toward wagering requirements. A $500 bonus at 35x with 5% table contribution means $350,000 in baccarat bets to clear it. You will lose about $3,710 trying.
Read the game contribution section before claiming any bonus for baccarat play. If tables are under 10%, skip the bonus.
Tracking patterns and looking for streaks
Every hand is independent. The "road" displays (Big Road, Bead Plate, Big Eye Boy) are traditions from Macau, not predictive tools. A Banker streak of 8 does not make a Player hand more likely. Probability resets every deal.
Ignore the scoreboard. Bet Banker every hand. The math does not change based on history.
Baccarat Road Maps Explained
What those scoreboards on every live table actually mean
Every live baccarat table displays a set of pattern grids called "roads." They come from Macau casino culture and track the history of recent hands. Five roads are standard. None of them predict what happens next. Every hand is independent.
Big Road
(Main scoreboard)Records results in vertical columns. Red circle = Banker win. Blue circle = Player win. A new column starts each time the winning side changes. Ties are marked with a green slash across the previous result. Long columns mean long streaks.
Shows the raw pattern of the shoe at a glance.
Bead Plate
(Bead Road)A simple grid that fills left to right, top to bottom. Red = Banker, blue = Player, green = Tie. No column breaks. Just a chronological record of every hand in order.
Easiest road to read. Quick count of how many Banker vs Player hands.
Big Eye Boy
(Derived road #1)Derived from the Big Road. Compares each new result to the column one position to the left. Red means the pattern repeated (the shoe is "streaky"). Blue means it did not (the shoe is "choppy").
Tells you if the shoe is running in streaks or alternating.
Small Road
(Derived road #2)Same logic as Big Eye Boy, but compares to two columns back instead of one. Solid red = repeating pattern. Solid blue = pattern broke. Smaller circles than Big Eye Boy.
A second opinion on whether the shoe is streaky.
Cockroach Pig
(Cockroach Road)Same logic again, comparing three columns back. Uses diagonal slashes instead of circles. Red slash = pattern held. Blue slash = pattern broke. Smallest of the three derived roads.
Third layer of pattern analysis. Most players ignore it.
Roads are tradition, not strategy
Baccarat roads come from decades of Macau and Asian casino culture. Players study them with real intensity. But mathematically, they describe what already happened. They do not predict what comes next. Each hand is dealt from the remaining shoe, and past results do not change future probabilities in any meaningful way. The Banker bet is still 1.06% whether the Big Road shows a streak of 12 or a choppy mess. Enjoy the roads as part of the ritual. Do not use them to change your bet.

Online Baccarat FAQ
19 questions answered with data from 71 casinos
Banker bet: 1.06% house edge, one of the lowest in any casino game. Player bet: 1.24%. Tie bet: 14.36%. The banker bet is mathematically the best wager in baccarat, even with the 5% commission on wins. That commission is already factored into the 1.06% number.
Safety & Responsible Gambling
Baccarat has one of the lowest house edges in the casino, but it is still gambling. Banker bet costs $1.06 per $100 wagered. Never bet on Tie ($14.36 per $100). Set a session budget and stop when you hit it. No system beats the house edge.
