Crypto Dice in May 2026

Crypto dice is the simplest casino game ever made. You pick a number between 0 and 99.99, choose over or under, and roll. If the result lands on your side, you win. The payout depends on your win chance. That is the entire game. No cards, no wheels, no animations, no bonus rounds. Just a slider and a button.

We track 114 casinos in our database. 98 of them accept crypto and have dice or instant games. The best dice providers (Stake, TrustDice, Wolf.bet) run at 99% RTP with a 1% house edge. BC.Game charges 2%. Roobet charges 3%. That gap matters: over 10,000 rolls at $1 each, you lose $100 at Stake but $300 at Roobet. Same game, 3x the cost.

38 of our 98 dice casinos process crypto withdrawals in 30 minutes or less. Average payout: 1147 minutes. The fastest casinos in our data (Sportbet.one, Metaspins, Crypto-Games.io) get your winnings out in under 15 minutes. Every dice roll at Stake, BC.Game, and TrustDice is provably fair. The result uses a pre-generated server seed hashed before you bet. After the roll, you verify the math yourself.

86 of our 98 dice casinos have VIP programs. 5 score B+ or higher on mobile. This page ranks every dice casino by score, payout speed, safety, and game count. Every number comes from our database of 114 casinos with 145 data points each.

How It Works

How Dice Works

The entire game in 3 steps.

01

Set Your Target

Move the slider to pick a number between 0 and 99.99. Choose "Roll Over" or "Roll Under." Your win chance and multiplier update instantly. Lower chance = higher payout.

02

Roll

Click roll. A random number generates instantly (0.5 seconds). If the result is on your side of the target, you win. If not, you lose your bet. That is the entire game.

03

Collect or Repeat

Winnings credit instantly. Roll again, adjust your target, or cash out. Auto-roll can repeat hundreds of times per minute at your chosen settings.

Based on 99% RTP (1% house edge). Formula: multiplier = 99 / win_chance_percent. At 2% edge (BC.Game): multiplier = 98 / win_chance. The expected loss per roll equals the house edge percentage of your bet, regardless of which win chance you pick.

Edge Matters

Why 1% vs 3% Edge Is Huge

1% vs 3% sounds small. It is not.

1% Edge (Stake)

10,000 rolls at $1

-$100

expected loss

2% Edge (BC.Game)

10,000 rolls at $1

-$200

expected loss

3% Edge (Roobet)

10,000 rolls at $1

-$300

expected loss

10,000 rolls is 15-30 minutes of auto-roll. The difference between Stake and Roobet: $200 extra loss per session. Dice is a volume game. Small edge differences compound into real money at high roll counts.

Strategies

Dice Betting Strategies

What works, what does not, and why.

No strategy changes the house edge. At 1% edge, you lose $1 per $100 wagered whether you flat bet, martingale, or do anything else. Strategies only change the distribution of your wins and losses, not the total. Here are the four most common approaches and what they actually do.

Flat Bet

Low Risk

How: Same bet amount, same target, every roll. Pick 49.5% (1.98x) and bet $1 each time.

Math: At 1% house edge, you lose exactly $0.01 per $1 bet. Over 1,000 rolls at $1 flat: expected loss is $10. Simple and predictable.

Verdict: The only strategy that matches the math. No escalation. No recovery illusion. You know your cost per hour before you start.

Martingale

Extreme Risk

How: Double your bet after every loss. Reset to base bet after a win. Target 49.5% (roughly 2x payout).

Math: Sounds logical. Loses in practice. 7 losses in a row requires 128x your base bet. At $1 base that is $128 on a single roll. 7 consecutive losses at 49.5% chance happens once every 130 attempts. At 10 rolls per minute, you hit that streak in about 13 minutes.

Verdict: Does not beat the house edge. It converts many small wins into rare catastrophic losses. The math is the same: you lose 1% of total wagered regardless of pattern.

Paroli (Reverse Martingale)

Medium Risk

How: Double your bet after a win. Reset after a loss or 3 consecutive wins. Target 49.5%.

Math: 3 wins in a row at 49.5%: about 12% chance. If you hit it, you profit 7x your base bet. If you miss, you lose 1x base bet. Looks good on paper, but wins are rarer than losses.

Verdict: Limits downside better than Martingale. You never bet more than you just won. Still does not change the house edge. Over thousands of rolls, the result converges to the same 1% loss.

D'Alembert

Medium Risk

How: Increase bet by 1 unit after a loss. Decrease by 1 unit after a win. Start at 5 units.

Math: Slower escalation than Martingale. After 7 losses you bet 12 units instead of 128. Keeps you in the game longer. The expected loss is still 1% of total wagered.

Verdict: A gentler version of Martingale. Smaller swings, longer sessions. Same long-term result. Good for bankroll pacing, not for beating the edge.

The house edge is baked into the multiplier formula. Multiplier = (100 - edge) / win_chance. No bet sizing pattern changes this formula. The only real decision: which casino to play at (1% vs 3% edge) and when to stop.

Avoid These

Common Dice Mistakes

5 mistakes that cost dice players real money.

1

Playing at a 2-3% house edge when 1% is available

Why it hurts: Roobet Dice has a 3% edge. Stake, TrustDice, and Wolf.bet have 1%. At 10,000 rolls of $1 each, that is $300 lost at Roobet vs $100 at Stake. You are paying 3x more for the same game.

Instead: Check the house edge before you roll. If your casino charges more than 1%, switch to one that charges 1%. The game is identical. The cost is not.

2

Running auto-roll without a stop-loss

Why it hurts: Auto-roll at $0.10 per roll, 10 rolls per second, runs through $3,600 per hour in total wagers. At 1% edge, that is $36/hour in expected loss. Most people do not realize how fast it adds up because each individual loss is tiny.

Instead: Set a loss limit before you start. Most dice sites let you configure auto-roll to stop after X losses or when balance drops below Y. Use both. If you cannot set a stop-loss, do not use auto-roll.

3

Switching to low win chance after a losing streak

Why it hurts: After losing 10 rolls at 49.5%, some players jump to 10% chance (9.9x payout) thinking they are "due" for a big win. They are not. Each roll is independent. The previous 10 results do not affect the next roll.

Instead: Pick a win chance that fits your bankroll and stick with it. If 49.5% is not working today, stop playing. Changing your target mid-session is emotional decision-making, not strategy.

4

Trusting Martingale to recover losses

Why it hurts: Martingale doubles your bet after every loss. After 7 losses at 49.5% (which happens roughly once per 130 rolls), your bet is 128x your starting amount. After 10 losses (once per 1,024 rolls), it is 1,024x. At 10 rolls/second, you hit that streak in under 2 minutes of auto-roll.

Instead: No betting system changes the house edge. Flat betting at a consistent amount is mathematically identical in expected loss and does not risk your entire bankroll on a single recovery roll.

5

Not verifying provably fair seeds

Why it hurts: Every roll at Stake, BC.Game, TrustDice, and Wolf.bet is provably fair. The server seed is hashed before you bet and revealed after. If you never check it, you are trusting the casino blindly, which defeats the purpose of provably fair.

Instead: Verify at least a few rolls per session. Change your client seed occasionally. If the verification ever fails, stop playing immediately and report it.

Dice Gambling

Pros

Benefits

  • 99% RTP at top providers. Tied with crash and mines for the highest RTP in any casino game category (excluding player-edge video poker).
  • The simplest casino game. One slider, one button. No learning curve. Anyone can play in 3 seconds.
  • Provably fair at every major dice casino. Every roll is verifiable. The casino cannot cheat.
  • Instant rounds (0.5 sec). No waiting. Auto-roll can do 36,000 rolls per hour. Maximum action per unit of time.
  • 98 casinos offer dice. Available at virtually every crypto casino. TrustDice offers a free daily faucet to play with.

Cons

Things to consider

  • No skill element. Zero decisions affect the outcome. You control the target but the optimal choice is always the same (any target with 1% edge).
  • Auto-roll is dangerously fast. $0.10/roll x 10 rolls/sec = $3,600/hour wagered. At 1% edge, $36/hour expected loss. You barely notice it happening.
  • The game is boring by design. No animations, no bonus rounds, no variety. The simplicity that makes it fair also makes it monotonous.
  • BC.Game and Roobet charge 2-3x more house edge than Stake. If you are not checking the provider, you might be paying triple.
  • Martingale and other betting systems do not work. They seem logical. They are not. Your bankroll will run out before the system "recovers." The math is proven.

Bonuses

Best Bonuses at Dice Casinos

Welcome offers at dice casinos.

Most dice casino bonuses come with wagering requirements (25-40x the bonus amount). At 1% house edge on dice, a 30x wager requirement on a $100 bonus means wagering $3,000. Expected loss: $30. So a $100 bonus with 30x wagering has about $70 in real value. Check the wagering multiplier before claiming.

Legal status

No US state-licensed online casino offers crypto dice. The six states with legal online casinos (NJ, PA, MI, WV, CT, DE) have not approved this game format. All 98 dice casinos in our database that accept US players operate offshore, mostly under Curacao licenses.

No federal law specifically bans online dice gambling. State laws vary. Some states restrict all online gambling, others only target operators. Playing at offshore sites is a legal gray area for US residents. You are unlikely to face prosecution for playing, but there is no state-level consumer protection if a dispute arises.

Tax obligations

The IRS treats all gambling winnings as taxable income. This includes crypto dice. You must report net gambling income on your federal tax return. Offshore casinos do not issue W-2G forms, but the obligation still applies.

Keep records of every deposit, withdrawal, and session result. If you receive winnings in crypto and later sell for a profit, that is also a taxable event (capital gains). Track your cost basis. Consider using crypto tax software if you play regularly. This is not tax advice. Consult a CPA.

Dice Casinos: FAQ

Common questions about crypto dice, RTP, and provably fair

How does crypto dice work?

A virtual 100-sided die. You pick a target number (0-99.99) and bet "over" or "under." If the roll lands on your side, you win. The payout depends on your win chance. Higher chance = lower payout. Lower chance = higher payout. The house edge (1-3%) is built into the multiplier formula, not the roll itself.

What is the formula for dice payouts?

Payout = (100 - house_edge) / win_chance. At Stake (1% edge): 49.5% chance = (100-1)/49.5 = 1.98x. At BC.Game (2% edge): same 49.5% chance = (100-2)/49.5 = 1.98x. Wait, that gives 1.979x. The house edge shrinks your multiplier compared to a "fair" game where 49.5% would pay 2.02x.

What is the RTP of dice games?

Stake, PrimeDice, TrustDice, Wolf.bet: 99% (1% edge). BC.Game: 98% (2% edge). Roobet: 97% (3% edge). The difference: at Stake you lose $1 per $100 wagered. At Roobet you lose $3. Over 10,000 rolls at $1 each, that is $100 vs $300. Provider choice matters.

Is dice provably fair?

All house originals (Stake, BC.Game, Roobet, TrustDice, Wolf.bet) are provably fair. The roll result is determined by combining a server seed (hashed before you bet) and your client seed. After the roll, you verify that the server seed matches its hash and produces the result. No manipulation is possible.

What is the best dice strategy?

No strategy changes the house edge. Martingale (double after loss) does not work because your bankroll runs out before recovering. The only real decisions: which provider to use (1% edge vs 3%), what win chance to target, and when to stop. Set a loss limit. The math is fixed.

Is dice the simplest casino game?

Yes. One slider, one button. No cards, no wheels, no grids, no animations. Pick a number, click roll. The result is instant. There are no rules to learn, no hand rankings, no pay tables. If you understand "over or under," you can play dice. That simplicity is both its appeal and its danger.

What is auto-roll?

Automatic rolling at a set win chance and bet size. Some casinos support 1-10 rolls per second. Wolf.bet allows API-driven bots. Auto-roll removes emotion from betting but can burn through bankroll extremely fast. At 10 rolls/sec and $0.10/roll, you wager $3,600 per hour. At 1% edge, you lose $36/hour.

Can I use a bot for dice?

Some casinos (Stake, Wolf.bet, TrustDice) allow bots and scripts via their API. Bots can run Martingale, D'Alembert, or custom strategies automatically. No bot strategy beats the house edge long-term. Bots just automate the loss process more efficiently. Some players use bots to claim faucet bonuses.

How fast are dice rounds?

Instant. A manual roll takes 0.5 seconds. Auto-roll can do 1-10 rolls per second. At 10/sec for one hour: 36,000 rolls. No other casino game comes close to this speed. Dice is the fastest gambling format in existence.

What is a dice faucet?

Some dice sites (TrustDice) give free crypto daily. You claim a small amount (0.000001 BTC or similar), play with it, and can withdraw winnings. It is a marketing tool. The amounts are tiny ($0.01-0.10 per claim). But it lets you try dice with zero risk.

Is dice gambling legal in the US?

Crypto dice is not available at any US state-licensed online casino. The states with legal online casinos (NJ, PA, MI, WV, CT, DE) have not approved crypto dice formats. All dice gambling sites accepting US players operate offshore under Curacao or similar licenses. No federal law specifically bans online dice gambling, but state laws vary. Play at your own discretion.

Are dice winnings taxable?

Yes. The IRS treats all gambling winnings as taxable income, including crypto dice. You must report net gambling income on your federal return. Offshore casinos do not issue W-2G forms, but the obligation still applies. Keep records of deposits, withdrawals, and session results. Crypto-to-crypto gains may also trigger capital gains tax.

Can I play dice on mobile?

Yes. Stake, BC.Game, TrustDice, and Wolf.bet all work in mobile browsers. Stake gets an A+ mobile grade in our database. No downloads needed. The dice interface is simple enough that it works well on any screen size. Auto-roll works on mobile too.

How much bankroll do I need for dice?

Depends on your bet size and session length. A safe rule: bring 200x your bet size. If you bet $0.50 per roll, bring $100. At 1% house edge and 49.5% win chance, you will lose about $0.005 per roll on average. With 200x bankroll, you can survive normal variance for 1,000+ rolls before going broke.

What is the difference between dice and craps?

Crypto dice: one virtual roll, over/under on a number, 1% house edge, instant result, solo game. Craps: two physical dice, multiple bet types (pass, come, place), house edge varies from 1.36% to 16.67% depending on the bet, social table game. They share the name "dice" but the games are completely different.
